Reciprocal international sports exchange

Reciprocal sports exchange

Bringing global sporting excellence to India. Taking Indian talent to the world.

Structured international sports exchange that enables athletes to learn, coaches to develop, institutions to collaborate and sporting systems to improve.

Two-way value

What each side can gain

Coming to India

International partners can potentially gain

  • Exposure to India's sporting environment and athlete-development practices
  • Coaching knowledge exchange
  • Training and competition experience suited to the agreed programme
  • Connections with Indian academies and institutions
  • Cultural understanding and professional relationships
  • Longer-term institutional collaboration
Going abroad

Indian participants can potentially gain

  • Exposure to alternative training methods
  • Different tactical and technical perspectives
  • International training and competition experience
  • Insight into performance systems and coaching methods
  • Professional networks and institutional relationships
  • Knowledge to share with local athletes and coaches on return

"Reciprocal" does not mean equal numbers, identical durations or an automatic exchange of funding. Each arrangement depends on the needs and agreement of the participating institutions.

Potential programme formats

How an exchange could take shape

Training camps

Short, structured training blocks hosted by an academy or club.

Coach exchange visits

Observation, mentoring and methodology exchange between coaches.

Technical workshops

Focused sessions on technique, tactics, conditioning or analysis.

Academy-to-academy collaboration

Ongoing links between academies, clubs or schools in two countries.

Sports science knowledge exchange

Education and collaboration between performance practitioners.

Institutional study visits

Visits by federations, universities or institutions to learn from each other.

These are potential formats. A programme is confirmed only when the participating organisations have agreed it in writing.

How it works

From enquiry to exchange

  1. 1

    Initial enquiry

You tell us your sport, role, goals and timing.

  2. 2

    Needs assessment

We clarify objectives, participants and requirements.

  3. 3

    Partner and programme alignment

We look for suitable partners in India or abroad, subject to availability.

  4. 4

    Programme design

Content, format, dates, participants and costs are shaped together.

  5. 5

    Coordination and preparation

Responsibilities are agreed in writing and arrangements prepared.

  6. 6

    Programme delivery, where agreed

The programme runs as agreed, with a named point of contact.

  7. 7

    Review and evaluation

Partners and participants review outcomes and next steps.

Partner identification, admission, selection, visas, travel and programme availability depend on each arrangement. Not every enquiry results in a programme or placement.

Participant wellbeing & safeguarding

Clear arrangements, agreed in advance

Participant wellbeing is an important consideration in programme planning. Where applicable, we work with participating institutions to clarify safeguarding arrangements, accommodation and transport plans, points of contact, emergency procedures and codes of conduct before an exchange begins.

For programmes involving women and girls, appropriate arrangements can be discussed with the participating institutions, taking account of age, location, accommodation, applicable policies and each party's agreed responsibilities.

Where appropriate, programmes provide for

  • A designated programme contact
  • Agreed accommodation and transport arrangements
  • Institutional safeguarding policies and codes of conduct
  • Clear reporting and escalation contacts
  • Parent or guardian consent for minors
  • Emergency contacts and insurance requirements
  • Respectful treatment, privacy and professional boundaries

Roles and responsibilities are set out in advance for each programme.
